San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Founder's Dinner
The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance (SDZWA) Founder's Dinner brings longtime friends and donors of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park together for dinner, drinks, and updates on zoo news and future plans. The 2025 iteration of this event marked our team's first collaboration with the San Diego Zoo, and featured visits from many of the zoo's animal ambassadors, including two porcupines, an anteater, and a black-headed python.
Production for this event included audio, lighting, staging, rigging, video, and power. After dinner, the audience turned their attention to an Absen PL3.9 LED video wall and a Steeldeck stage (both built by PCE) for a presentation on noteworthy goings-on in the San Diego Zoo world. Event presenters used a DSAN PerfectCue System hooked into a Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Switcher Rack to control the content on the video wall.
ETC Source 4WRD lights mounted on lighting trees illuminated the stage, with Chauvet Freedom Flex H4 IP positioned behind the stage for some visual pizazz.
QSC KW122 and JBL PRX915XLF served as the main PA for the event, with presenters relying on a Shure ULX-D wireless microphone system. A PCE audio engineer remained on hand to set levels over the course of the event from an Allen & Heath Qu-16 console.
