Welcome to PCE!
Welcome to the PCE family! Our events are only as good as the skilled pros working them, so we’re thrilled to bring you aboard. We are confident your expertise will lead to our mutual success.
Below you will find answers to common questions about working PCE events and a list of pertinent phone numbers you should keep handy.
What to Expect When Working with PCE

How do I start working on events for PCE?
First, you will participate in an interview to evaluate your technical skills and determine the roles that best match your experience. During this stage, you will also establish your pay rate and complete the necessary onboarding documents. Please note that the onboarding documents must be submitted promptly (within 72 hours of receiving them) for you to be eligible to begin working for PCE.
Once you have been onboarded with PCE, you will need to download the Workforce app on iOS or Android and finalize your profile within that app. Workforce is the employee management tool PCE uses to choose employees for specific roles and specific events. Employees also use this tool to clock in and out for shifts, view paystubs, and perform other administrative tasks. Without Workforce, you will be unable to work for PCE.
How do I use Workforce?

I don’t see any jobs available in Workforce. Do I need to do something?
When you first sign into Workforce, you are unlikely to see any jobs available. PCE will invite YOU to apply for jobs as events come up that match your skills. To ensure you receive these invitations, enable push notifications in the Workforce app, and check the email associated with your Workforce account frequently.
How do I apply for a specific event?
PCE will invite YOU to apply for jobs that match your skill set(s). When this happens, you will receive an email and a Workforce notification inviting you to apply. IMPORTANT NOTE: Receiving an invitation to apply for a job in Workforce does NOT guarantee that you will be selected for that job. First, you must confirm your availability for the job through the invitation you received. Then, you’ll wait for our Workforce Manager to review your application along with all the others they’ve received for the role.
When/how will I find out if I am selected to work on an event?
After you apply to work an event via Workforce, the PCE Workforce Manager will evaluate your application alongside any others submitted for the event. The Workforce Manager will then select the candidate best qualified for the position. If you are selected, you will receive an email and a Workforce notification asking you to confirm/lock in your commitment.
When will I know what equipment I will use on-site (type of console, camera, etc.)?
Operator roles will be advised of the equipment they'll use when they receive a job offer from PCE. However, the gear assigned to a show can sometimes change last minute. The day before your job, our Workforce Manager will send an email with the dress code, parking information, and any other need-to-know information.
What if I see someone doing something unsafe on a job site?
If you have safety concerns, notify the PCE site supervisor immediately. If the site supervisor does not resolve the issue, contact the PCE office at 866-335-4723.
What if someone asks me to do something I do not feel is safe?
Do not, under any circumstances, do something on a PCE job site that you do not feel is safe, even when asked by a site supervisor. If you feel you have been asked to do something unsafe, please contact our office immediately at 866-335-4723.
How/when will I be paid after working on an event?
At PCE, we pay employees an hourly rate. PCE processes payroll every other Friday of the month, at which time you will receive payment for any hours submitted during the pay period. See the Workforce payroll system for pay period details. It is important to note that the pay periods do not align with the pay dates.
What if something comes up and I cannot make it to an event I am scheduled for?
Please contact the PCE Workforce Coordinator immediately at 714-464-2107 so that they can find someone to cover your shift.
What do I have to wear to events when working for PCE?
Employees should wear dress/show blacks to an event unless otherwise instructed by the Workforce Coordinator. Dress/show blacks consist of a black button-down shirt and black pants. Casual blacks consist of a PCE T-shirt or black T-shirt, and black pants.
Do I need to bring my own tools (wrenches, multi-tools, etc.)?
Please bring basic tools considered helpful to completing your normal tasks. This includes gloves, wrenches, multi-tools, screwdrivers, etc.
Do I have to bring my own safety equipment (hard hats, vests, etc.)?
No, PCE will provide all the safety equipment necessary for your event. (Only exception; we require riggers to provide their own harnesses.)
Do I need to bring any of my own gear (lighting console, camera, etc.)?
No, all gear will be provided by PCE. Employees are restricted from bringing personal gear or gear obtained from others to PCE jobsites without express written permission to do so.
I would like to give feedback on an event I worked on. Who do I contact?
