Flo Rida at Great Park Live

The improvements keep coming at Great Park Live! The newest addition? How about a 41' x 20' upstage video wall? OC Summer Slam was one of the first Great Park Live events to take full advantage of this massive new screen (made up of Infiled 3mm panels). The event featured performances by hip hop legends Flo Rida, Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, and Pretty Ricky, each taking turns energizing a massive, amped-up Great Park Live crowd.

Other video production at the show featured Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 and Panasonic PTZ cameras, which bounced images to our video control room. Inside, a PCE video crew ran the show with a Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel and a Panasonic AW-RP60 PTZ Camera Controller. Their feed powered Great Park Live’s two giant side stage video walls, as well as the new upstage video wall.

EAW ADAPTive Systems Anya and Anna speakers served as the main PA for the show, bolstered by EAW ADAPTive Systems Otto subwoofers. A PCE audio engineer mixed the show at front of house using a Yamaha CL5 console, while another audio engineer handles monitors side stage with a second Yamaha CL5 console.

OC Summer Slam took advantage of the Great Park Live house lighting package: three rows of Chauvet Color STRIKE M, Chauvet Maverick Storm 3 BeamWash, and Vari-Lite VL3600 Profile IP fixtures, all controlled via a grandMA3 light console. An Ultratec Touring Radiance System provided haze to bring the lights to life, while Antari Z-1520 RGB Two-Way Fog Jets blasted fog to punctuate key moments.

Finally, PCE Backline made an appearance, supplying Pioneer CDJ3000 and Pioneer DJM-S11 for the artists' DJs.
