Cutwater Spirits Halloween

The Cutwater Tasting Room in San Diego sits just across the street from our office in the region, making PCE a natural partner for the restaurant/bar's annual transformation into House of Spirits for Halloween. House of Spirits introduces a whole new Halloween-themed menu (and, of course, drink options) to the Cutwater Tasting Room, and our production helped the vibe right along, creating a spooky, seasonal happy hour/dinner destination.

Our team positioned dozens of IP-rated RGB uplights around the building's perimeter, accentuating the architecture and special scenic elements deployed for Hour of the Spirits. Fog machines and a foreboding gate created a chilling entry for guests, who were greeted with a view of a projection-mapped Cutwater sign upon entering the door (we "electrified" the Cutwater logo with Frankenstein's monster style lightning bolts).

Additional fog machines fed into a track along the main bar, dissipating fog through bottles to create a ghostly "spirit" effect, a nice little visual easter egg for guests paying especially close attention.

Take a turn down the right hall, and you'll step into Cutwater Crypt, a limited-time speakeasy tricked out for the Halloween season. Here, more PCE lighting leads the way down a narrow hall to another fully-stocked bar, where red lights help turn a cask into a bubbling couldron.

Teaming up with The Cutwater Tasting Room for this Halloween project let both of our teams unleash some real creativity. The results, we think, speak for themselves. We can't wait to partner with Cutwater for more special events in the future.
